The best bird I have so far found at the stormwater ponds! Kinda overshadowed the first Palm Warblers, Field Sparrow and White-throated Sparrow I have seen here ;)

1 Connecticut Warbler -- 1 1st winter. Fairly big warbler, with big spiky bill, big feet, noticeably short tail and relatively long undertail coverts. Complete greenish brown hood, paler on throat, but obvious contrast with clearer yellow on lower breast. Smudgy transition from brownish to yellow. Prominent complete creamy white eyering. Bill pinkish at base of lower mandible. Upperparts, wings and upper tail greenish. Yellow underparts. Legs and feet dull pink. Flew up from ground amongst weeds into low branches of small tree, then ascended from branch to branch before flying off low to W across clearing and sweeping up into low branches of trees on W perimeter. No calls heard. Flight strong, fast. In view for 60s or so. Photos obtained. Searched but unable to relocate.
