Birds on the move tonight
The following images are from the Sterling VA NEXRAD station - the first three are the base reflectivity, the last is the velocity. Note the expanding donut of reflectivity as the evening progresses, and the strong north-south direction of movement in the velocity image. Northerly winds are finally encouraging some migration.
