Yellow-crowned Night-Heron

On a morning visit to Wheaton Branch Stormwater Ponds, I disturbed this Yellow-crowned Night-Heron that had just captured a crayfish. In short order, the heron swallowed the crayfish, after tossing it in the air a few times to re-position it and crush the carapace.
