Heron show in Wheaton

I stopped by the Wheaton Branch Stormwater Ponds on Dennis Avenue today, in the hope of photographing one of the beavers I've seen there recently. Sadly, no beaver today, but there was a good selection of herons on  display. In addition to the half-dozen or so Black-crowned Night-Herons, Great Blue, Green and Yellow-crowned Night-Herons were also present. Here's a selection of quick snaps:
