North American Beavers in the suburbs
We took an evening stroll at the Wheaton Branch Stormwater Ponds and were surprised to see two beavers Castor canadensis at this urban location. One was a large, presumably adult animal, the other small - perhaps this year's offspring? I didn't have a camera with me, but I took this short video with my iPhone. Kinda cool!
So are they breeding nearby??
